"I am a new visitor to Lexus of Richmond Hill. My visit was pre-emted by an action caused by my own stupidity. This year I purchased a summer toy for myself being a 2002 Lexus SC 430. I believe the car to be in appearance probably one of the nicer older SC 430’s around and I absolutely love the car even though this summer has been miserable. Last Friday I created a problem that I couldn’t resolve myself. I opened my trunk to place some goodies inside and then proceeded to open the roof. At that moment my cell phone rang and like a fool I took my finger off the open button to answer the phone. This comedy of errors ended up with me having my pride and joy stuck with the roof half open or half closed which ever way you look at it. At this point you are probably smiling but I can assure you that at the time my dear wife heard some choice words come out of my mouth due to the frustration I had created for myself. I called your service department and subsequently spoke with Kevin and Trevor who were both very helpful but unfortunately the only way for me to resolve the problem was to get the car to you. As we were leaving to go to our boat on Lake Simcoe, I booked the car in for Monday morning 10th August at 8.0 am. On Monday I drove the car (luckily in dry weather) at 15kms per hour with the roof up and arrived from Thornhill at your Garage at 7.20am. I drove straight into service and was the first customer to arrive. I met with “happy” Bill, a real gentleman who was very sympathetic and directed me to Kevin. I explained again to Kevin what I had done and gave Kevin my details. Kevin was very courteous and extremely helpful. I was asked if I needed a ride home and greatfully accepted this offer and again I met ‘Happy” Bill." We had driven only about 2 kilometers when Bills cell phone rang and after he finished the call to my amazement said that my car was ready. I was shocked. So we headed back to the garage where Kevin explained to me that it was a simple fix and after explaining to me what I had done wrong, he suggested I sit down in the waiting area and have a cup of coffee as my car was being washed and the carpets were being vaccumed. I asked Kevin how much I owe the Garage to which he told me that this work was at “NO CHARGE”! So after thanking Kevin for the excellent service I thought it only fair to tell you guys what a wonderful and quite honestly rare experience I had when I visited Richmond Hill Lexus for the first time. To recap, I had a nice relaxing cup of coffee reading the newspaper while my car was fixed and valaited for free. My wife and myself are thinking of moving in !!!!! Seriously I always believed that when credit is due then give it and that is exactly what I am trying to do even if it sounds a little humerous. You certainly have made a new customer that one day may buy a new Lexus instead of a Merc but in any event please be rest assured I would certainly recommend you guys for efficient and very fare service.
